Keep using sunscreen. The TGA says its benefits far outweigh any risks, and nothing here says a product is unsafe: the limits are proposals.

39.8% or less, and only in face and hand sunscreens for people 18 and overDepends on use

We read “for the body” from the product’s name. “Depends on use” means the amount is under that option’s number, but the option only covers face and hand products (and, for option 3, products for people 18 and over), and the register doesn’t say which this is. Interim decision due by the end of 2026. More on oxybenzone.

Where this comes from

Everything above is from this product’s entry on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods: ARTG 444675, Serve and Protect. We read its public summary on 21 October 2026; the entry dates from 27 March 2024. The name on the shelf can differ from the register’s. If the label shows a different AUST L number, it’s a different formula. Spotted a mistake? Email hello@sunscreenfilters.com.
