Kids’ sunscreens without homosalate

Keep using sunscreen. The TGA says its benefits far outweigh any risks, and nothing here says a product is unsafe: the limits are proposals.

Of the 63 sunscreens on the register whose names say they are for kids, babies or toddlers, 51 don’t list homosalate and 12 do. Under the TGA’s proposed options, a kids’ body sunscreen could keep 0.28% of homosalate or less under option 1, and none under options 2 and 3, which only cover face and hand products (and, for option 3, adults).

We go by the product’s name, so a family sunscreen that is fine for children won’t show here unless it says so. All homosalate-free sunscreens.
