Results Skin Active Protect SPF 50+
SPF 50+, broad spectrum, cream. AUST L 302235, from Results Laser Clinic Pty Ltd.
Keep using sunscreen. The TGA says its benefits far outweigh any risks, and nothing here says a product is unsafe: the limits are proposals.
Active ingredients
| Ingredient | On the ARTG as | Amount | % |
|---|---|---|---|
| Octocrylene | octocrylene | 70 mg/g | 7% |
| Oxybenzone Under review | oxybenzone | 30 mg/g | 3% |
| Avobenzone | butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane | 25 mg/g | 2.5% |
| Ensulizole | phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid | 20 mg/g | 2% |
Percent by weight: the ARTG gives each active in mg per gram, and 10 mg/g is 1%.
Against the TGA’s proposed limits
Oxybenzone, 3%
| Option | Proposed limit | This product |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1% or less in any sunscreen | Above |
| 2 | 2.5% or less, and only in sunscreens for the face and hands | Above |
| 3 | 9.8% or less, and only in face and hand sunscreens for people 18 and over | Depends on use |
We read “for the body” from the product’s name. “Depends on use” means the amount is under that option’s number, but the option only covers face and hand products (and, for option 3, products for people 18 and over), and the register doesn’t say which this is. Interim decision due by the end of 2026. More on oxybenzone.
Where this comes from
Everything above is from this product’s entry on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods: ARTG 302235, Results Skin Active Protect SPF 50+. We read its public summary on 21 October 2026; the entry dates from 24 April 2018. The name on the shelf can differ from the register’s. If the label shows a different AUST L number, it’s a different formula. Spotted a mistake? Email hello@sunscreenfilters.com.
