Keep using sunscreen. The TGA says its benefits far outweigh any risks, and nothing here says a product is unsafe: the limits are proposals.

We read “for the face” from the product’s name. “Depends on use” means the amount is under that option’s number, but the option only covers face and hand products, and the register doesn’t say which this is. Interim decision due in 2027. More on 4-MBC.

Where this comes from

Everything above is from this product’s entry on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods: ARTG 300784, Cancer Council Tinted Daily Moisturiser Light Tint SPF50+. We read its public summary on 21 October 2026; the entry dates from 14 March 2018. The name on the shelf can differ from the register’s. If the label shows a different AUST L number, it’s a different formula. Spotted a mistake? Email hello@sunscreenfilters.com.
